2018 Spring Home Show @ The Kern County Fair Grounds
February 23 - 25. Come Out & See Us!
Robby’s Nursery & Calico Gardens is a locally owned business that has been “growing” in Kern County for over 50 years.
We are often told we have a unique, peaceful feel throughout our nursery. New customers are amazed and then quite pleased at the quality & selection we offer. Our all new location has a “Secret Garden” vibe and is nestled back off the main road from our previous spot.
We have a huge selection of plant varieties that delight the everyday plant shopper as well as the collector. Fruit and Shade trees are available from the 5 gal to box sizes. There is a nice selection of garden seeds as well as plants. If your interest is flower gardening, veggie gardening or even water gardening, we can help. Want to grow in a container or in the ground……we’ve got tips. Need help with designing your space, we’re here.
We can also special order if we happen to be out of your “heart’s desire”. We offer chemicals, soils and fertilizers for yard maintenance, but more importantly, we have the knowledge to advise you as to their use.
Additionally, Robby’s Nursery has a Garden Gift Shop with many unique items for a special gift or for that all important personal indulgence. Wind chimes, iron artwork, bird feeders & houses, food items, collectables, pots, ceramics, and items for each season are among the treasures to be found.
We hope you will come experience the all new Robby’s Nursery & Calico Gardens soon. Consider our grounds for a small get together or schedule a private gardening class for your club. Remember shop Robby’s Nursery whatever the season. We know you’ll be glad you did!

Bring in samples of problem plants (in a plastic bag). We can diagnose and recommend a cure.
Huge Selection of Drought
Come by Robby’s Nursery and look at all the beautiful possibilities of varieties that require less water. Note: Many plants commonly used in our area are drought tolerant, but you may be over watering them. “Just because a variety tolerates watering often doesn’t mean it needs it”.
